Clinical Study Details
Has your doctor told you that you may need extra medication besides metformin (also known as Diabex or Diaformin) for management of your diabetes? We are currently looking for participants who may need an add on medication to their metformin for better control of their diabetes and who may also benefit from some weight loss. If so, you may able to take part in a clinical study of a new treatment for people with type 2 diabetes that AusTrials is conducting at multiple locations in Australia.
You may be able to take part in the study if you are:
- 18 Years and older, of either sex
- Have type 2 diabetes
- Only be treated with metformin (such as Diabex or Diaformin) for your diabetes
- Are overweight
The study is being conducted at these locations:
- Taringa, QLD
- Campbelltown, NSW
Qualified participants will receive:
- Study medications and visits at no cost
- Eye examinations and diabetes education – fully funded
- Compensation for time and travel involved in the study.
