Clinical Study Details
In eosinophilic asthma, an increase in white blood cells can cause inflammation of the airways leading to severe asthma attacks.
Here at AusTrials, we are conducting a research study to test an experimental medication for eosinophilic asthma which is given as an injection under the skin.
Treatments that are currently available often need to be taken every 1 to 2 months. It is hoped that the study drug can be taken every 6 months, so less frequent treatments are required, potentially making asthma care feel less overwhelming.
You may be eligible for this study if you:
- Are over the age of 12
- Have had eosinophilic asthma for at least two years
- Have been taking mepolizumab or benralizumab for at least 12 months, with a documented benefit from the treatment
- Require regular treatment of asthma attacks with inhaled corticosteroids and at least one other medication
The study is being conducted at the following location:
- Taringa, QLD
Eligible participants will be compensated for their time and effort.
